What’s Your Equipment Repair Spend
Contractors damage gear. I worked in the field as an ironworker. I'm not going to lie. I broke some things. The nature of the work can be rough. As a crane operator I think that I was guilty of breaking one clamshell trash bin just once. The handle failed to clear as it was opening in the dumpster. This is common. Multiple times a job common. I've also had repairs done for clients. The cost of the repairs are often 50% of the cost of the equipment. Time, trucking, welding, materials. It adds up to over $1500 for a minor problem. But what if I can stop that silent bleed in expenses?
Sometimes the older gear we have in crane attachments are counterintuitively not as strong as the modern designs. I know this flies in the face of cars, cranes and so on. But gear was made to be light in the past. We had cranes with less capacity. Trash bins at 4 yards had a 4000 lb capacity. The common standard today is 13,230 lbs. Then when you factor in a 3:1 safety factor, the ultimate size of the steel and it's strength increase is notable. This leads to durability. Unless gear faces abuse, it isn't likely to break. To quantify it, in four years of selling my last brand, hundreds of units over four years, the only repair that could have been performed was replacing a stripped nut. But it was unnecessary to do so. Zero repairs in four years is the number to use.
Our build quality is significant. Above is an example of the structure size we use for a concrete bucket attachment. The steel itself is 22 to 25 mm thick and it's one of 4 attachments. Laser cut so no sharp cuts lead to a tear. And this is what should be brought to the table. We shouldn't be concerned with damaged gear. It shouldn't be a line item on your annual budget. We want to eliminate it so you can see the value of our gear.

If you are an equipment purchaser, take note of the longevity our attachments will have due to this build quality. Let us help you stop buying gear with planned obsolescence and excessive repair costs. Ignoring that our laydown concrete buckets can save you the cost of a pump truck, or the trash bins save the rigger running to the dumpster to unlatch locks, our gear also saves you money on maintenance. With Seattle Tower Crane equipment buyers are purchasing long term value and they are freeing up time and budget at roughly the same cost as the competitors. Don't buy a maintenance headache. sales@seattletowercrane.com
